Company Overview
Background, Experience and Expertise

Background:

The Drying Company handles disaster restoration and flood cleanup all over the United States. The main office is located in Denver Colorado with equipment depots in Dallas Ft. Worth Texas, Atlanta Georgia and Biluxi Mississippi.
Owner, Rick Arndt and his crew have been in the drying business for collectively over 25 years. They are equipped to handle any size water damage emergency with the most cost effective high end drying technology available.

Experience:
The Drying Company specializes primarily in drying after water damage due to broken pipes, flooding, hurricanes, tornadoes and earthquakes. This requires an understanding of the physical properties of the materials to be
dried and requires special instrumentation to calculate the extent of the water damage and the moisture content. The Drying Company uses high-tech dehumidifiers and other advanced drying equipment to get the job done in a fast, cost efficient time frame.

Expertise:
Typically, after a flood, the air inside a building has a very high relative humidity. Air laden with moisture is said to have 'high vapor pressure.' The Drying Company dehumidifies the air to reduce its vapor pressure.
Then, they pump the deeply dehumidified air into the water damaged area. The low vapor pressure of the dried air allows the water molecules held in the wallboard to escape. The drier the surrounding air, the faster it will accept water vapor from the surface of the wet wallboard.
After a flood, The Drying Company pumps very dry air into water damaged environments, using high volume desiccant dehumidifiers.
TDC supplies air at 7-10 percent relative humidity. By contrast, it is not uncommon for the relative humidity of the ambient air after a flood to be 85 percent. TDC's dried air has such a low vapor pressure that it rapidly 'pulls' water molecules away from wetted surfaces. As water molecules begin to leave the wallboard, others migrate to the surface. So, eventually, objects like the wallboard dry thoroughly.

The Drying Company combines this basic principle with other techniques, such as temperature control, air motion, air enclosures, and air direction in a complex, customized system, which it creates to dry each water damaged environment.
